1. What is the Elderconnection?

The Elderconnection is a business networking group based in Toronto, Canada, that connects people who help seniors. Its participants are both registered Members and non-Members, and network through a monthly breakfast, special events, a newsletter, this website, and other means. The Elderconnection is open to people of any age or occupation, and mainly attracts the self-employed and people in healthcare. People of all walks of life are involved in the Elderconnection, from family caregivers to travel agents to government officials. All participants in the Elderconnection share two common bonds: a love for helping people over 55, and a desire to meet other dedicated people to network, keep in touch and share ideas.

2. What kind of events does the Elderconnection host?

The Elderconnection “main event” is a monthly networking breakfast held in Toronto on the last Wednesday of every month except July, August and December. In addition to the breakfast, the Elderconnection hosts occasional seminars and workshops of varying length throughout the year. Topics generally encompass long-term care, other seniors’ issues, and business issues for people who help seniors. These special events are announced in Members’ mailings, at the breakfasts, and on this website.

3. What are the times, dates, places, etc., of the events?

Times, dates, and places of seminars and other special events will be announced well ahead of time. Breakfast details are as follows:

  • DATE: The last Wednesday of every month except July, August and December.

  • PLACE: Watts' Restaurant, Eglinton Square (Eglinton & Victoria Park, Toronto).

  • Public transit: Visit the Toronto Transit Commission website for further details.
  • TIME: Registration: between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
    Breakfast and networking: 8:00-9:00 or 9:30 a.m.

4. Are there any events in cities other than Toronto?
